Oxbridge students share the joy of Christmas

Students of the college, aptly represented by the Community Service Group, made up of students and some teachers, in what has become a tradition, visited the HIV Children’s Ward in Lagos State General Hospital on the 17th of December, 2014. The purpose of the visit was to share the joy of the season, through giving of gifts to children living with HIV. The team was led by the Community Service Group coordinator, Mr. P. O. Adeleke assisted by Mr.Olajide Alder. The student body was led by the Student Representative for Community Service, Miss Gbotemi Kolawole. 15 other students made the visit. Another exciting Christmas Celebration at Oxbridge

It was another exciting time in the college, as it hosted its  16th Annual Family Christmas Concert, on the 16th of December, 2014. The event commenced at 5pm with a goodwill message by the Principal of the College, Ms. Carol Scott, who set an exciting tone for what  would be a fulfilling night, as she spoke on  the universality of the celebration of Christmas. Other events such as Bible passage reading by students and parents followed intermixed with carols and rendition of special numbers by the highly professional Oxbridge Choir. The Oxbridge Staff too were not left, out as they put up an excellent performance. Some of the highlights of the night were a drama presentation entitled ‘Inconsequential ‘by the college Drama team, where the true essence of Christmas was comically presented to the admiration of the audience. The message of the evening delivered by Rev.Bola Osinupebi however brought all us to the reality of the reason for the season, which is to show and share love. The time fleeted on smoothly and when the programme ended at around 8 pm.it was as if the day is just about to break. Kudos to the Events Committee and all members of staff for their cooperation in making the day a huge success. ONCE AGAIN, WE WISH EVERYBODY A HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A PROMISING NEW YEAR IN...

First Academic Review Day of the year

It was another successful outing for the college when, on the 6th of December 2014, it had its first Academic Review Day for the year. It is and has always been a time when parents and guardians visit the college and sitting with the teachers to review the academic progress of their children. The huge turn of parents is evidence of the passion they have to see their children succeed. Thanks to the indefatigable presence of the college Principal, Ms. Carol Scott, the programme went smoothly. Starting with the general introduction in the hall, which intimated the parents with  the programmes put in place to help the students academically and culminating in one-one-one meetings with the teachers in designated classes. It was definitely a rewarding time for the three stakeholders; parents ,teachers and...
