Oxbridge Leadership Academy

“Daystar Leadership Academy” is a leadership development academy set up to raise exceptional leaders under the leadership of Pastor Sam Adeyemi. The academy is designed to ignite your potential and help you become the leader you were designed to be. The Students of Oxbridge Tutorial College were privileged to have this academy brought to their door step. This programme  was scheduled to hold on the 16th and 23rd of November 2013.  The first half of the program, the 16th of November started at 9am with the arrival of students, the organizers and speakers for the day, registration was carried out. At about 10am, the training begun proper. The first course; Personal Transformation was taken by Tola Seedy. He made us realize that success is the achievement of God’s goals for your life, and that success is first within then without. He told us the importance and power of our individual minds and how to work with it and on it to become a better  personal. He took us through the transformation codes: first within, your word and change your habit. Then the trip of transformation: Sight and Sound, Information (spiritual and natural). He also taught us to appreciate ourselves and speak into our future to always believe in our abilities. He left us with the following: ‘You can never rise above your knowledge. If you do not believe you are the best then it doesn’t matter’. Our second course for the day was Vision And Goal Setting. The facilitator was Mr. Joel Osebor. From Mr. Joel we got to know: ‘Vision is simply revelation’ and ‘Vision is foresight based on...

OTC officially opens its gym

The college officially opens its ultra-modern gym on the 21st of November, 2013. In a short service to commemorate the event, the officiating minister, Rev. Okunnuga, spoke of the imperativeness of caring for not only for our soul, but also the body, which he aptly quoted from the Bible thus : caring for our body ‘profited little’’. One may be tempted to ask, ‘what does opening a gym have to do with a short service?’ As has become the tradition of the college, every milestone is marked with the presence of the Lord to keep all of us safe, as we use the facilities. The Managing Director Dr. (Mrs.) C. O. Ogunsanya, while not solely taking the glory for the conception of the gym, used the occasion to eulogised the huge contribution of Mr. T.Ogunsanya, who has been instrumental to the vision and realisation of the gym project. The  short ceremony also has  some members of staff and members of the college SRC  in attendance....

Mr. Ilube visits Oxbridge (by Tosin Salau)

After the Mid-Term break, the college resumed on Monday the 4th. The students were filled with excitement as there were many things to chat about pertaining to the Work Shadowing which most students participated in. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Ubah came into the hall and settled the students down for the Assembly. We had another surprise coming as the college founder, Dr.(Mrs.). C. O. Ogunsanya, who before now had not formally met the students graced the occasion and she actually read the recitation for the guest speaker of the day; Dr Ilube. Dr Ilube has many academic experiences and qualifications from all over the world. He studied Physics in the University of Benin and also has an MBA. He has a foundation that has been around for 4 years now called AGF. They recruit students from different parts of the world and teach them about Space, Science, Finances and Computing. Dr. Ilube is expected to go to space in the next 2 years with Virgin Galactic and the whole trip is said to be about just 4 hours. He is often adjudged the first Nigeria to go to space, though he jokingly claims to be the first man from his village to go to space! As a role-model to many young people all over the world, Dr. Ilube is driven by the motto “Think F.A.S.T and Tackle the Big questions”. He explained this with the acronym F.A.S.T: FOCUS – To get something done one has to be incredibly focused and determined as he illustrated that like a machine, there is no stopping. It is important to be an expert in something one is really passionate about. AMBITION– People shouldn’t think deeply on the profession alone, but also...
