With deep appreciation, we thank you for your time in browsing the Oxbridge Tutorial College website. I do hope you find it informative, and it answers some of the questions you may have. My name is Charity Tony- Ubah, and I consider it a great privilege to be the pioneer Head of School, Lekki campus, and to contribute in no little measure in moulding the impressionable lives, parents have entrusted in our care. In September 2018 when Oxbridge turned 25 years, she decided to take a giant leap in establishing her first branch in Lekki away from the main campus.
Barely one year of opening her doors to students, it was no surprise that the NCUK, our most trusted partner, in 2019 awarded our campus as the best centre in student satisfaction among over 80 delivery centres around the globe. Truly, we are a centre for inclusive excellence and exceptional education in our times.
At Oxbridge, our belief is that all students have the potential to fully succeed in life, and as such, we deploy systems that rigorously prepare and support our students through diverse experiences which are not limited to only academic support. A point of reference was the transitioning from the regular face-to-face teaching before the COVID-19 pandemic, to the fully online delivery of our curricula at the onset of the unprecedented lockdown. This shows how swift and dynamic we can be at Oxbridge.
The results achieved by our students during the pandemic are a testimony of our drive towards maintaining an excellent outlook consistent with past outstanding results. Also, the progression of our students to universities of their choice was not in any way compromised with the challenges the world experienced in 2020, rather the status quo was maintained, that we saw our students progressing to some of the world’s top universities in the UK, Canada, USA, Dubai, Australia, Nigeria, and beyond.
At OTC, we have come to understand that progressing to university and subsequently sustaining a successful career is more than grades. Our students’ enrichment programme, offers a robust curriculum content cutting across Arrive Ready, Research Skills, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, interesting case studies, mental wellness, and various international and local learning trips structured to give students wider experiences and opportunities to develop excellent employability skills.
To create a sense of individuality in our students, each of them is able to build a personalised learning plan, keep gratitude and reflection journals, and maintain an organised portfolio of useful academic documents that enables them to share in the responsibility of attaining academic excellence.
Our college is a vibrant and social community where students are encouraged to develop their passion and interest. From being a part of a house group, students can join the debating club, college choir/music club, to getting involved with sports, press club (Oxpress), science club, and drama club.
We have an existing relationship with Insight Education, an organisation focused on working with our students, taking them through developing knowledge and skills needed to get into Oxford and Cambridge universities in the UK.
In March 2021, the Lekki campus relocated to a new multi-purpose built state -of- the art facility consistent with the Oxbridge brand. Our new campus is well-equipped with a resource centre, spacious air-conditioned classrooms, 24/7 internet access, among several other facilities.
