OTC Parent Testimonial by Mrs Bassey A. Captain-Briggs

When one of our parents takes the time to put their gratitude into words we feel we must share it with the world! Mrs Captain-Briggs we are grateful that you took the time to express your thoughts so eloquently: “Our daughter Ibisoba Victoria Captain-Briggs made the IFY honours roll of 2016 in Oxbridge Tutorial College (OTC) and we, her parents, and entire family are immensely proud of this achievement. We owe the management and staff of Oxbridge a debt of eternal gratitude for nurturing and bringing out the best in our child. Oxbridge is structured and well organised. The teaching and learning environment is world class to say the least. Faculty and staff are experienced and exhibit absolute mastery of their subjects. Most have been in the College from inception over twenty years ago and therefore have seen it all. They understand the peculiar challenges of working with children in their late teens and so carefully and patiently mentor as well as monitor each and every child. There is no such thing as a lost case in OTC. They never give up. Never.  I noticed that they adopt the carrot and stick approach which works well with children at that stage. The transformation and positive growth in our daughter within the two years she spent at OTC continues to amaze and thrill us. Even though she got into the College with excellent O’ Level grades, at OTC she understood the concept of purpose, imbibed focus, time management and personal organisational skills which serve her well even to this day. Within the first half of the very first term in...

OTC students take part in “Thinking Skills” programme

On Saturday our students took part in a programme designed to help with their self-management skills as they approach the complete independence of university. The programme, titled “Thinking Skills” exposes our students to problem-solving, conflict resolution, analysing arguments and generally helping them to organise their thoughts and analyse other people’s  thought process. Dr Ruwan and Dr Toluwanimi did a great job engaging the students on this challenging topic. Many of our students were visibly stretched by the series of exercises they undertook. As always it’s a privilege to see our students blossom.  The old adage “Outside of the comfort zone is where the magic happens” holds true. Are you following us on our other social media feeds? We’ve gathered universities from the UK, USA, Canada, Ghana, Nigeria and other parts of the world and invited representatives to give our students, and members of the public interested in participating, the opportunity to make all the enquiries about international and local study they may have. Make sure you take advantage of the opportunity and register your interest on the Facebook event...

OTC Carol Concert 2017

What a way to round off the year! Last week we held a combined Carol concert and 70th Birthday Celebration for our much loved and illustrious MD, Dr. C. O. Ogunsanya. Many of us were shocked to learn that our MD was turning 70! She looks so fresh and young and is so full of life that she could easily pass for a decade younger. Regardless we were not going to let the occasion pass without marking it. And mark it we did! Carols, readings, food, drink and wonderful company. No better was to conclude the year. All of us at Oxbridge wish you a wonderful festive break, Merry Christmas, Seasons Greetings and we wish you a prosperous and happy New Year. Don’t forget we have a Universities Fair and our very first Open House of the year coming up in January! We look forward to welcoming and hosting you at these...
