The college, on the 29th of January, hosted a British Council sponsored, Cambridge International Examination Professional Development Course.
It is a training programme tailored towards giving teachers of CIE Mathematics first-hand insight into the teaching and standardised assessment of Mathematics.
21 teachers were drawn from all over Nigeria for the programme. Four members of Oxbridge staff namely, Mrs.Tony-Ubah, Mr.Dada, Mr.Onanugas and Mr.Oyenekan participated in the two-day programme, facilitated by a veteran and CIE certified examiner, Mr.Jeff Fair. One of the participants, Mr.Dada shared his experience with Oxpress. According to him, ‘It was a fulfilling, rewarding and productive exercise and the reason is because, the training had a direct and practical impact on my teaching of the subject, especially in the area of assessment.’
